Maximize your ChatGPT Ads performance with RedTrack
See exactly which ChatGPT campaigns drive results. RedTrack gives you accurate conversion data, real ROAS, and the clarity to scale with confidence.

Key features and benefits
Advanced attribution reporting
Most ChatGPT Ads users lose conversions by mistakenly crediting them to organic or direct instead of the ad that earned them. RedTrack's attribution reporting sets the record straight, with multichannel and multi-campaign data in one view.
Conversion upload to OpenAI (CAPI)
Feed conversions back to OpenAI through RedTrack's pre-built Conversion API integration, so every sale lands on the right ad. When ChatGPT Ads' algorithm gets complete, accurate data, it optimizes better, and you scale on a full picture instead of a partial one. No developers needed. Just connect through RedTrack.
Unified ChatGPT Ads manager
Managing several ChatGPT Ads accounts means constant tab-switching and a fragmented view of how anything's performing. RedTrack pulls every account into one dashboard, so you see all your OpenAI advertising in a single place and stop losing time to the switching.
Server-to-server ad tracking (S2S)
RedTrack's S2S tracking collects accurate data without relying on cookies. It stays compliant as privacy regulations shift, so your attribution keeps working while other setups break. Your tracking is built to last, not patched to survive.
Real-time monitoring
Waiting on delayed reports means you spot problems after they've cost you. RedTrack's centralized dashboard tracks performance across every channel in real time, so you catch trends and issues as they happen and act before they eat your budget.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the OpenAI CAPI integration do?
It connects your ChatGPT Ads campaigns to RedTrack so conversions are sent back to OpenAI server-to-server. This closes the loop: click → attribution → conversion → event in OpenAI. This helps OpenAI's algorithm optimize against your real conversions and you can measure ROAS accurately.
Do I need to upgrade my plan to use it?
No. The ChatGPT Ads integration is available to all users, including legacy plans. It's a new traffic channel we support, not a gated feature.
How do I set it up?
Create an OpenAI pixel in RedTrack using your pixel_id and api_key from OpenAI, configure your conversion-matching rules, and attach it to your offer. Then create a traffic source from the ready-made "ChatGPT Ads" preset and use your RedTrack tracking link as the destination URL in your ChatGPT Ads creative. That's it, there's nothing to install on your landing page.
How does RedTrack track clicks from ChatGPT Ads?
When someone clicks your ad, OpenAI appends its click ID to your URL as ?oppref=XXX (the equivalent of Facebook's fbclid). RedTrack captures oppref at click time using the "ChatGPT Ads" preset, which includes the required tracking sub. Without that preset alias, the click ID won't be captured.
What happens if a conversion type isn't matched to an OpenAI event?
It won't be sent to OpenAI. Only conversions that match a rule mapping your RedTrack conversion type to an OpenAI event_type are forwarded, so make sure your matching rules cover the events you care about.
Do I need a custom tracking domain?
Not for most cases. The click ID is captured from the URL parameter, which works on the standard RedTrack domain. A custom domain only matters for the cookie-based fallback (__oppref), which requires a first-party cookie on the same parent domain as your site. If you're on the standard domain, the URL capture handles everything.
Is customer identity matching supported?
Yes. If your offer source has sub roles mapped (e.g., email, phone), RedTrack sends hashed identity data: email, phone, zip, city, and country are SHA-256 hashed, while IP and user agent are sent in plaintext. Email and phone are only forwarded when present in the postback and mapped to roles. This works just like Facebook CAPI.
