Fix broken attribution

Stop choosing which report to believe

The ad platform says one number, your backend another, your sheet a third. RedTrack matches every conversion to the click that drove it and applies one attribution model across every source, so the numbers you compare have a single source of truth.

Why RedTrack

Discrepancy is the most common complaint we hear, usually as a percentage: "Meta shows 30% more than we actually sold." Each ad platform does self-attribution, with its own window and its own view of the user, and two of them can claim the same sale. The fix isn't a better guess about which source is right. It's owning your data, counting everything once, from the click forward, with one model you can change and compare.

The fix

Every conversion matched to the click that drove it

RedTrack ties each conversion to its click ID, counts it once across networks and ad platforms, and applies the attribution model you choose. Switch models side by side to see how credit moves. Reports, rules, and Conversion API all use the same result.

Click ID matching

  • Each conversion tied to one click and one source.

Cross-network deduplication

  • One sale counted once, even when two sources report it.

Models side by side

  • Compare how credit shifts between sources.

Attribute by conversion time

  • Choose click time or conversion time for reporting.

Down to the conversion log

  • Check any number against the raw conversion record.

One result everywhere

  • Reports, rules, and Conversion API use the same attribution.
A real mismatch, explained

Ad platform says 142. Backend says 118. RedTrack shows 124.

Meta reports 142

7-day click / 1-day view window, includes modeled conversions, credits itself.

Backend records 118

Orders received, no source attached.

RedTrack shows 124

Every backend order matched to a click; 6 extra are network conversions the backend didn't tag.

Questions about attribution

Can't find your answer? Ask in our Telegram group or the Help center.

  • Why do Meta and RedTrack show different conversion numbers?

Meta counts conversions within its own attribution window, including modeled and view-based conversions, and credits them to itself; RedTrack counts each conversion once, matched to the click that drove it. The difference comes from having different attribution models and windows.

  • Which attribution models does RedTrack support?

RedTrack supports first click, last click, first paid click, and last paid click for attribution modelling. We also support U-shaped and linear models. You can compare models side by side, and attribute conversions by click time or conversion time.

  • How does RedTrack handle a sale reported by two networks or ad platforms?

RedTrack counts it once. Every conversion is tied to a single click ID, so a sale reported by two sources doesn't inflate revenue in two places.
